dBpoweramp is a software that allows you to change music files to another format or import music from CDs.

dBpoweramp has a feature called Batch Converter.
Batch Converter is a function that allows you to select an entire folder of music files stored on your PC or hard disk and convert them all at once.

With this function, you can convert an entire album, an artist's entire songs, or even an entire stored music file at once.

Let's take a closer look at how to use Batch Converter.

Batch Converter is to convert files at once by specifying a folder

Batch Converter is a function that allows you to specify a folder stored on your PC or an external hard disk connected to your PC to convert all music files in the folder at once.

The function of converting music files is the same as dBpoweramp's Music Converter, but with Music Converter you specify the music files you want to convert, whereas with Batch Converter you specify the folder.

Therefore, you do not need to select each sound file individually, but can convert them all at once.

You can use Music Converter when you want to convert specific music files, and use Batch Converter when you want to return them all at once.

How to use Batch Converter

Using Batch Converter is not that difficult.
The only difference between Batch Converter and Music Converter is the way you choose the files to convert.

Selecting Batch Converter

Launch dBpoweramp.
A menu will then appear, and select Batch Converter on the right side.

Select the folder you want to convert.

A tree of PC folder structure will appear on the left side.

From here, select the music folder you wish to convert.
You will see a plus sign on the left side of the folder, click on it to expand the folders within that folder.
For example, in my case, I have a folder called iTunes Library on my external hard disk, and inside that folder is a folder called music.
This is where I basically store my music files, so from here I select the music folder I want to convert.

There is a checkbox next to the folder name, so if you check this box, you can convert all the music files in that folder.

If you put a check in the Music folder, you will be able to convert everything in this folder at once.

There are too many quirks, so let's check the box for 10-FEET as a trial.

Check the music files to be converted

You don't need to bother to check, but you can see which files to convert from the list.

Clicking on "List" will open a separate window in which you can see a list of music files in the selected folder.

Check here to see if it is the one you want to convert.

Converting sound files

Once you have selected the folder you wish to convert, let's get started.

Click the Convert button to open the converter.
From here, it is the same as the Music Converter.

Select the format of the music file you want to convert.

Change to the specs you want to convert.

Specify the folder where you want to save the file if necessary.

Then press the Convert button at the bottom to start the conversion.

By converting to WAV, it is also possible to convert a sound source with specifications such as normal CD specs or mp3 to high-resolution specs.

The sound information that is missing as a high-resolution sound source will be restored using a proprietary algorithm, so you can expect an improvement in sound quality.
(It is pretty much a personal subjective judgment as to whether the sound quality has improved or not, just in terms of data.)
I am someone who thinks CD specs are good enough, so I often do things just out of interest of a music lover.

It's always going to be better sound quality! So, please be aware of that before you try it!
